Whole Family Health is now the first and only clinic with 4 board certified members of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) in the Edmonton and surrounding area. Bringing integrative medicine to the forefront for Edmontonians, we offer the highest quality of care to our patients with our certified extensive knowledge and experience in reproductive health medicine. About American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine
The American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine consists of qualified practitioners using acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in the field of reproductive health. Certification maintains that practitioners demonstrate vast knowledge and experience, and the ABORM is committed to teaching, research, and the practice of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of reproductive health. Fellowship with the ABORM demonstrates competency and advanced knowledge in the field of both traditional Chinese and Western reproductive medicine. The ABORM emphasizes integrated fertility treatment options, evidence-based medicine, and standardizing fertility treatment with traditional Chinese medicine.
Process of Becoming Fellow of the ABORM
Certification requires passing a rigorous advanced certification examination that measures knowledge in Western and traditional Chinese medicine reproductive physiology, pathology, diagnosis, and treatment. The process in whole requires that the practitioner:
•Pass comprehensive five-hour exam that covers knowledge in both Western and traditional Chinese reproductive medicine
•Have been practicing acupuncture for a minimum number of years
•Have completed minimum number of continuing education credits in ABORM approved courses
